REAL BRIDE: Dena & Phil

Dena and Phil were married at Tigh-Na-Mara Resort Parksville, BC, in a bright, botanical themed wedding. Dena wanted lots of colour, florals and a look inspired by Hollywood glamour. Her dress had one caveat to consider, she would be a few months post-partum come wedding day. 

The Dress

A custom three piece with blush pink tulle skirt. To make fitting and adjusting easier we opted for a lace up crop top and loose fitting lace overlay. This would accommodate her changing bust measurements. 

The skirt was several layers of tulle with a blush pink lining. The elastic waistband made adjustments easy post baby. 

When Dena came to me to say she was stressed would’ve been an understatement. Not knowing what her body was going to do before and after having her baby plus wedding planning to boot! Having a dress custom fit and knowledgeable seamstress made all the difference in her case. 

The dress turned out lovely to match her personality. This is one dress I will remember forever because not only did we hit it off famously but as Dena became a mama I got to tell her I too was becoming one! She was one of the first people I told and I will always remember it.
